The platitudinous and clichéd joint statement says all the right things- security and prosperity in an interconnected world, India’s economic development, rise as global power, the homilies to the international system and reference to global threats, among other things. Mislead by the star cast, especially with Khan and Kajol playing the lead pair, and the use of word 'Dilwale' in movie title, if you were expecting anything close Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, it seems you are in for a disappointment.
A trademark Rohit Shetty direction, the trailer has everything from super cars to super explosions. The dialogues are crass and the approach to "comedy" feels dated.
Khan can be seen trotting guns and romancing with Kajol at scenic locations, all the while playing the nostalgia card.
The film also stars Boman Irani, Kabir Bedi and Johnny Lever.
